I have been working on an open source program called MPS (My Profile Space) for phpBB forums for a couple years now. This has been a project that I worked on in my spare time, so when i say I have been working on it for a couple years, please bear with me. MPS is a social network for phpBB forums that originally started out as a new profile system for phpBB. With my job being as hectic as it has been lately I have had to push MPS to the back burner for far too long. With the release of SweetCron, this has given me a new direction to take my MPS project. The new direction I am planning to go with MPS is to not only improve MPS on the phpBB3 platform but to also integrate SweetCron into MPS. A blog is one feature MPS has been lacking for some time now and theblogmod was just too much to use, not to mention it was buggy and got spammed. I am hoping that by integrating SweetCron this will allow users to have more of a social network/forum and help keep users on their sites, also helping boost their results in search engines as well.

SweetCron is a very nice system, though it has many flaws(but hey, its still a BETA ;) ) it is a great system for improvement and leaves a lot to develop for a programmer and a lot to design for a designer. I have seen a few themes for sweetcron already and let me say that these sites are my favorite, Ecken and VideoPixil, not only because I know these guys but because their work is seriously awesome. They have this site here for their SweetCron theme releases, Cron Themes.

I will be keeping this site updated with the progress of MPS as more is developed. The main purpose of this post is to inform that MPS will be integrating Sweetcron into it.
